Founder & Principal Accountant

If you are expecting a suit and tie accountant in a posh wood-panelled office, then you haven’t met Rohan.

Rohan has always had a passion for small business and has worked in or around small business since he started his first paper route with the local newsagency at the tender age of 11.

Even early in high school, he was drawn to Business Management and Accounting type subjects. It was during a project for one of these classes he got his first real taste for running his own small business when he and two classmates took the award for most profitable business venture – a hot dog stand at the local primary school!

It was only a tiny jump to studying commerce at Uni and pulling beers at the local pub while he studied. It was while working at the pub that he was first told, “You have too much personality to be an accountant.” So, of course, he became determined to prove that you could enjoy a beer with clients and still be an accountant.

It was there he discovered he could make a world of difference to people, families and lives through guiding them through the financial and tax maze that makes up Australian financial regulations.

It is this passion for helping people, his love of being able to have a yarn with clients rather than hiding behind emails, that drove him to found Navigator Accountants.

Rohan is our Principal Accountant, sounding board, problem solver, compliance guru and Essendon AFL tragic with a passion for craft beers. He is also an avid traveler and regularly has passport in hand to explore different parts of the world.
